NUR Macroprinters to focus at SGIA 2004 on delivering higher speed, throughput & profitability to graphics screen printers.

Moonachie, NJ; September 28, 2004 -At this year`s Specialty Graphic Imaging Association`s trade show, SGIA `04, taking place on October 6-9, 2004 in Minneapolis, MN, NUR Macroprinters, in its booth # 3407, will introduce graphics screen printers to its solutions that deliver higher speed, overall throughput and production efficiencies that will result in higher profits.

The wide-format inkjet production printing solutions NUR Macroprinters is showcasing at this year`s SGIA show include:
• the new NUR Expedio™ 5000 superwide UV inkjet press,
• the new generation NUR Fresco® II providing enhanced versatility, productivity and image quality,
• and the NUR Tempo™ wide-format flatbed inkjet press.

NUR Macroprinters will also demonstrate its new ink consumption calculator. NUR Macroprinters customers that use NUR Spirit™ inks can use this new, easy-to-operate software tool to calculate in advance the amount of ink that will be consumed for the jobs they are planning to print. This ensures they can prepare more accurate price quotes for their customers so they can better manage their businesses and consistently achieve their profit goals.

Also featured in NUR Macroprinters’ booth will be NUR Spirit™ InKtelligence™ - an ink inventory management, re-ordering and dispensing system that is customized for the needs of each customer`s production environment. Combining the latest advances in wireless data network communications technology, inventory management and logistics automation software, and automated replenishment ordering, the NUR Spirit InKtelligence ink cabinet manages ink inventory, monitors consumption and ensures replenishment of the customer’s ink supply on a "pay-as-you-go" basis.

NUR Spirit InKtelligence ensure that customers always have an adequate supply of inks in-house to meet rush orders and peak production demands.

In addition to a full complement of sales, marketing and applications staff from NUR America at SGIA `04, staff from Sefar America, will be on hand to meet with customers in the NUR America booth at the show.

Sefar America, based in Lumberton, NJ, is NUR Macroprinters` authorized marketing partner in the screen graphics market segment, selling NUR Macroprinters equipment and consumables to its current customer base of graphics screen printers in the U.S. and Canada.

NUR is also scheduling in advance meetings with graphics screen printers attending the show who are still unfamiliar with the advantages they can realize from adding wide-format inkjet production printing to their services. A number of NUR`s screen-printing customers will be available in the booth to talk about their experiences with NUR Macroprinters equipment and the positive effect adding wide-format inkjet production printing has had on their business.

"This year at SGIA, we mark the formal launch of the new NUR Expedio 5000 in the Americas and we expect it will be a very busy show for us," says Nachum Korman, president of NUR America, Inc. "The high speed and UV-printing capabilities of this new machine make it a versatile companion to screen presses in operations that need to handle a lot of flexible media. Since we first previewed NUR Expedio earlier this year, it has generated tremendous interest and we are already taking orders for it. We have also added a new production facility to expand our manufacturing capacity for the machine so we can meet the expected demand."

About NUR Expedio 5000

The NUR Expedio 5000, previewed earlier this year at the International Sign Expo, is the first roll-fed 16-foot superwide inkjet production printer to reach the market that uses UV-curable inks. It is currently in beta testing and NUR Macroprinters expects to begin commercial shipments of the machine towards the end of the year.

The machine’s speed, quality, environmental friendliness, and ability to print on virtually any media available give this new superwide printer the potential to revolutionize the wide-format inkjet production printing marketplace. It can print 8-color, 720 dpi, high quality indoor signage for close-up viewing, as well as billboards and other superwide applications at super-fast speeds up to 1600 square feet per hour – making it both productive and exceptionally versatile. Its multi-roll printing capability even further increases productivity.

The machine`s use of UV-curable inks eliminates the need for costly solvent disposal equipment and addresses the requirements of environmental regulations imposed in some areas. The UV-curable inks also mean the machine will not require expensive, specially coated substrates for good ink adhesion. In fact, the machine can print on a variety of media, including standard less expensive uncoated substrates that ensure low operating costs and higher profit margins.

About the NUR Fresco II inkjet presses

The new NUR Fresco II is the most productive wide-format inkjet press in the market and it remains NUR Macroprinters` flagship product. The quality, versatility and productivity of the NUR Fresco printers make them an excellent choice for screen and specialty graphics printers that require high volume, fast-turnaround production of short runs on a wide range of flexible media.

About the NUR Tempo flatbed inkjet presses

The NUR Tempo series printers are flatbed wide-format inkjet production presses that provide an excellent digital alternative to conventional graphics screen-printing on short- and medium-run jobs.

The NUR Tempo digital presses use UV-curable inks technology to produce high quality rigid display graphics with no need for the extra finishing steps of mounting and lamination. The series includes a choice of four- or eight-color models, available in two different productivity levels.

The premier NUR Tempo model offers top-of-the line performance. Its eight-color system produces images at apparent resolution of up to 720dpi and ensures true photo-realistic results. At speeds of up to 883 square feet per hour, the top-of-the line NUR Tempo presses deliver nothing short of true industrial strength productivity.

For print service providers wishing to enter the flatbed inkjet printing market with a lower up-front capital investment, NUR Macroprinters offers the NUR Tempo L four-color press. NUR Tempo L is fully to the high-end model`s performance level.
